Our Story...
Who we are
Since our vibrant beginning on December 7, 1941, the San Francisco Rose Society has been the city's radiant heart of rose culture! As a passionate non-profit and educational charity, we've dedicated ourselves to the art and science of growing and showcasing stunning roses. Dive into our interactive programs, enthralling lectures, and breathtaking rose garden tours that run from January to November. Our monthly meetings, held every second Sunday, are a whirlwind of rose-inspired excitement and learning. With open arms, we welcome rose enthusiasts of all levels, from curious beginners to seasoned experts. Our members, brimming with passion and enthusiasm, are the lifeblood of our society, and we're ecstatic to unite rose lovers from all corners of San Francisco and beyond. Don't just hear our story—be a part of it! Join us at our next event and immerse yourself in the blooming wonders the San Francisco Rose Society has in store!
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charity gardening club, an affiliate of the American Rose Society specializing in rose culture and education, how to grow and exhibit beautiful roses, arrangement classes, and rose gardening best practices.
