84th Annual Rose Show!
Hall of Flowers, GG Park
1199 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122

Please join us this year at our popular, indoor, rose show at the historic County Fair Building Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.  On display will be a variety of roses including hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, shrubs (for those who love David Austin roses), old garden roses, and more grown in San Francisco. We will also have rose arrangements on display designed by our members.  This year's arrangement theme is "THE ART OF THE ROSE," which will inform the design of the arrangements.  Consulting Rosarians will be on hand to answer your questions.  Our popular book, "Growing in the San Francisco Bay Area and Other Maritime-Influenced Climates," will also be for sale.  Come join us and bring your mom.  We may offer cut show roses for sale around mid-afternoon.

Get ready for Rose Show season! Our April meeting will feature an exciting, practical, and hands-on workshop on the basics of rose photography and how to succeed in judged showings. This month's program leader, Betty Mott, will guide us through the art of photographing roses and teach essential techniques for capturing their beauty, printing your images, framing them, and preparing them for entry in the upcoming photography contests! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn or improve your skills and participate in the season's flower shows. Don’t miss out!

Betty Mott is an American Rose Society (ARS) Judge, Marin Rose Society Member, and career educator. She recently achieved a first-place award in the latest national digital photo competition of the ARS!

One more thing: Rose Society Members are invited to bring an 8×10 glossy or semi-glossy printed rose photo. We will provide a matte and backing for it at no charge.
